The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak is a lively traditional village pub.  It has been run since 2005 by Elaine Higgs who has won the Order of Excellence in the Oakham Acamedy this year.  It was voted Pub of the Season in 2008 by the Northants Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

It has a great atmosphere, an excellent choice of ales and is set in a pretty and historic part of the country with many local attractions.

It is very cosy inside with open fires in the winter.  Outside it has a large attractive beer garden with lovely views, a barn and a large car park to the rear.

There are many regular events.  We have beer festivals, bands, entertainments, summer BBQs, functions for special occasions and have monthly plant sale days outside the pub.  We also have skittles teams and crib teams.

In March 2010 lunches will be available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
